About this position
Position Summary
The AI Coordinator is responsible for driving enterprise-wide AI adoption and workflow optimization across Walton’s business units. This role partners directly with internal departments to evaluate current processes, identify automation opportunities, and implement practical AI-enabled solutions that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
The position combines AI enablement, workflow automation, and cross-functional collaboration. The AI Coordinator will lead training initiatives, influence stakeholder adoption, and develop semi-technical AI solutions within Walton’s Microsoft-based technology ecosystem.
This role does not require advanced machine learning engineering expertise but requires strong practical AI application knowledge and the ability to translate business needs into scalable automation solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- AI Adoption & Enablement
- Conduct workflow assessments across business units to identify AI and automation opportunities.
- Partner with department leaders to integrate AI tools into daily operations.
- Develop and deliver AI workshops, training sessions, and enablement programs.
- Create AI playbooks, documentation, and best practice guidelines.
- Serve as an internal advocate for AI adoption and continuous improvement.
- Support change management efforts and address stakeholder resistance where necessary.
- Track and report measurable productivity and efficiency improvements resulting from AI implementation.
2. AI & Automation Implementation
- Design and implement semi-technical AI and automation workflows using tools such as:
- Microsoft Copilot
- Power Automate
- Power Platform
- ChatGPT Enterprise
- UiPath
- Develop automated workflows and process improvements.
- Configure AI-assisted workflows within existing systems.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors for advanced technical implementations when required.
- Evaluate emerging AI tools and recommend adoption when aligned with business value.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work across multiple internal business units within the organization.
- Provide primary support to U.S.-based teams, support users in other regions/countries as needed.
- Act as liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
Additional Responsibilities – AI + Dynamics 365 Track Only
In addition to the core responsibilities above, this track will also:
- Support Dynamics 365 system optimization initiatives.
- Perform system configuration and workflow updates as needed
- Manage entity relationships and support data structure alignment.
- Assist with data integrity and process improvements within D365.· Gather business requirements for system enhancements.
- Coordinate closely with the VP of Information Services on system-related initiatives.
- Engage in and support other business and IT initiatives
Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
- Equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Experience & Skills
- Great communicator and team player
- Demonstrated exposure to enterprise AI tools and automation technologies.
- Experience within the Microsoft ecosystem (Power Platform, Copilot, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Power Automate or UiPath.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience conducting workshops, training sessions, or enablement initiatives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across business units.
Additional Requirements – AI + Dynamics 365 Track
- Practical experience working with Dynamics 365.
- Familiarity with system configuration and entity relationship management.
- Understanding of business process mapping within ERP/CRM systems.
