Job Supervisory Responsibilities: Practice oversight and responsibility with assigned  providers, personnel, departments and functions in order to support the clinic mission statement of:

General Summary: An exempt, senior-level directorship position responsible for assisting the chief operating officer and the chief executive officer as needed and in fulfilling own duties as assigned.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Focuses first on seeing that top-notch patient care is provided by coaching,      training, supporting and mentoring those providing patient care.
  • Manages the daily operation of assigned functions and areas of the organization by creating, implementing, and maintaining policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for the effective operation of assigned areas of responsibility, including supporting leadership and providers in patient care areas.
  • Helps the chief operating officer develop organizational strategic plans and objectives based upon identified needs of patients, functions, providers, and staff.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by chief operating or executive officers.

Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or health management field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Other Requirements: 

  • Preferred minimum three years of management-level experience in a health care organization.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential      function of the job

Performance Requirements:

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of principles and practices of health care management sufficient to manage, direct, and coordinate the operation of assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Knowledge of the purposes, organization, and policies of the health care industry sufficient to interact with other health care entities and providers as needed.
  • Knowledge of the policies and procedures of a clinic sufficient to direct its operations and to provide effective patient care in assigned areas.

Skills in:

  • Exercising a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making to achieve organizational objectives. 
  • Analyzing situations accurately and taking effective action. 
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, policy-making bodies, patients, and the public. 
  • Organizing work, making assignments, and achieving goals and objectives. 
  • Exercising judgment and discretion in developing, applying, interpreting, and coordinating departmental policies and procedures. 
  • Verbal and written presentations in both private and group settings.
  • Effectively utilizing Microsoft Products software including Word, Excel, and      PowerPoint.

Equipment Operated: 

  • Standard office equipment, including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones,      etc.

Work Environment: 

  • Position is in a well-lighted office environment. 

Mental/Physical Requirements: 

  • Involves sitting approximately 70 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
