CAD Artist

What is my role?

Responsible for providing support to the core merchandising department.

What You’ll Do

• Daily work in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Excel
• Create production cads based on information provided by Sales and/or Account Managers
• Make licensor requested revisions to art
• Create individual cads, provide new style numbers and pad prints as needed for Licensing and Sales departments
• Collaborate with Design and Merch teams to execute product presentations
• Create new cads and make updates to existing cad presentations or production cads
• Recoloring cad’s, textiles and prints
• Maintain and organize CAD, graphic and print libraries
• Other duties may be assigned in accordance with company needs

What You’ll Need

• Strong graphic/CAD/art knowledge required
• Basic knowledge of print & garment design required
• Excellent Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop skills
• Good eye for translating apparel, color & graphic trends and designs onto CAD’s
• Versatility in a fast-paced environment
• Must be highly organized and able to multitask
• Must be a team player, have ability to manage multiple projects with strict deadlines and take initiative
• Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet all objectives and allow the various initiatives of the Design department to be accomplished in a timely manner
• Must be detail oriented individual and a strong self-starter
• Must be able to take direction. This position requires incumbent to establish effective work relationships across multiple levels and functions
