Position Title: Systems Technician (Telephony & IT Support)
Location: 31st Medical Group (31 MDG), Aviano Air Base, Italy
Position Summary:
The Systems Technician provides technical support for telephony systems, IT services, and asset management within the DHA Medical Treatment Facility. The technician serves as the primary contact for telephony issues and IT service requests, ensuring effective communication system operations and accurate IT inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level support for telephony systems, including troubleshooting, configuration of extensions, and voicemail management.
Serve as the primary contact for IT customer service requests and log issues in the help desk system.
Assist with IT in-processing/out-processing and basic IT support tasks (e.g., password resets, workstation setup).
Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and manage equipment tracking and reporting.
Support installation of IT equipment, software, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
Follow DHA IT security policies and perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
At least 1 year of experience in IT technical support or customer service.
Basic knowledge of telephony systems and IT inventory management.
Preferred certifications: CompTIA A+ and/or Network+.
