We are looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Quality Technician. In this role, you will help ensure our products meet both company and customer quality standards by conducting testing, calibration, and inspections throughout the production process. You’ll work closely with teams across manufacturing, operations, and engineering to monitor product performance, document quality data, identify potential defects, and support continuous improvement efforts. This position plays a key role in maintaining product integrity, supporting production processes, and helping deliver reliable, high-quality solutions to our customers.
What You’ll Do
As a hygiene expert at Meritech, you will:
- Review design specifications to understand the scope, requirements, and function of our products.
- Conduct testing and calibration on WIP and finished goods to ensure products perform according to user requirements and within established guidelines.
- Ensure products meet company and customer quality and product integrity requirements.
- Take solution product samples to ensure the quality of products being produced & packaged.
- Identify, log, correct, and report malfunctions or defects in product performance using prescribed methods and software to accurately maintain quality data logs.
- Assist with root cause analysis for product defects and implement corrective action.
- Interface with a variety of personnel in support of production including manufacturing, shipping, operations, and engineers.
- Witness and verify various assembly builds, product testing, and setup operations.
- Monitor manufacturing environment for process noncompliance and clearly document deviations as needed.
- Communicate quality standards and parameters to production team.
- Communicate maintenance needs to the supervisor & facilitate the repairs of equipment.
- Perform incoming inspections of raw materials and finished products, ensuring the application of appropriate quality
- Other duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, local, and organizational laws, regulations, guidelines, and policies.
What You Offer Us
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in manufacturing and/or quality (2+ years preferred).
- Familiar with basic plumbing, mechanical, and electrical operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software as necessary to complete logs or records.
- Able to read and understand blueprints and schematics.
- Detail-oriented and consistent.
- A team player and able to effectively operate in group environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Goal-oriented and able to manage time and meet specific deadlines.
- Able to work with hand tools, including drills, saws, and grinders on occasion.
- Proficient in simple English reading, writing, and basic mathematics, (high school diploma or GED equivalent).
- Willing to work overtime and occasional weekend shifts as needed.
- Able to regularly perform the following physical requirements, with or without accommodations:
- Frequently: Prolonged periods standing and performing repetitive tasks.
- Frequently: Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to evaluate, test, and modify equipment with and without hand tools as needed.
- Frequently: Ability to differentiate between colored wires, tabs, and electronic components.
- Frequently: Prolonged periods of standing and moving about in factory environment.
- Frequently: Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time.
- Frequently: Must be able to crouch, bend, and lean to inspect equipment.
- Frequently: Must be able to reach, pull, push, and grasp to manipulate raw materials and finished goods.
- Frequently: Ability to use various manufacturing and warehouse equipment.
