Emergency Care Technician
Location: Carroll Hospital – Westminster, MD
Department: Emergency Department
Schedule: Full Time, Mid Shift Position Summary: Carroll Hospital is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Care Technician to join our Emergency Department team. This part-time role is essential in providing high-quality, patient-centered care under the direction of licensed nursing staff. The ideal candidate is a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with a passion for emergency care and a commitment to excellence in patient service and safety. Key Responsibilities: Assist nurses by gathering patient data through observation, obtaining vital signs, and performing point-of-care testing. Perform routine patient care procedures safely and competently. Ensure timely communication and documentation, including reporting significant patient changes to nursing staff. Provide frequent rounding and fall prevention interventions; remain with high-risk patients when needed. Adhere to strict infection control and isolation precautions. Maintain clean, safe, and organized patient rooms and unit areas. Support patient flow through timely admissions, transfers, and discharges, including documentation and removal of IV locks. Collaborate with nursing staff to support a positive and efficient care environment. Mentor and assist new staff as needed.
