Job Summary

The position is a key part of the facility's Packaging Maintenance team in ensuring efficient and safe equipment operations while responsible for completing repairs, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting emergency maintenance problems of all high-speed packaging production lines and conveying systems, fabrication, and modification of components to improve manufacturing processes, performing changeovers of equipment, and maintaining records, logs, and files as required. The ideal candidate must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.  


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to follow the direction of the Packaging Maintenance Leadership team and perform tasks as assigned
  • Perform preventive, emergency, and proactive maintenance activities
  • Communicate cross-departmentally to resolve needed repairs to equipment
  • Participate in shift change meetings
  • Assist with project work including contributing to assessments, process evaluations, project timeline management, drawings, and vendor/contractor communication
  • Complete all relevant paperwork required to document the completion of assignment
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in troubleshooting industrial controls in a circuit, experience installing and programming VFDs; troubleshooting 3 phase motor circuits and PLCs and HMI Programs
  • Experience in a high-speed packaging environment, food/beverage preferred
  • Must have the ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems  
  • Experience with Allen Bradley, Modicon, and Omron programs a plus
  • Strong computer skills required. Software skills include RS Logix 500 and 5000, ProWorks NXT, Delta V, and Wonderware
  • Experince in any CMMS systems e.g. Maximo, SAP, or Maintenance Connection
  • Selected candidates must be willing to work any shifts, weekends when necessary to cover the needs of the business
