Job Summary

The batcher accurately measures, weighs, and mixes ingredients or raw materials to create products according to specific formulas, recipes, or batch tickets. They operate industrial mixing/blending equipment, monitor process parameters (temperature, time), ensure quality control, maintain sanitation standards, and document production data in chemical, or manufacturing environments. 

 

Key Job Responsibilities and Duties

Accurately weigh, measure, and stage raw ingredients or materials based on precise formulas and batch tickets.Operate industrial mixing equipment, blenders, or tanks to combine ingredients, adjusting machine settings as needed.Monitor batch quality, including checking pH levels, temperature, and consistency; take samples for lab testing.Adhere strictly to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), sanitation procedures (cleaning/sanitizing equipment) and ISO9001 practices and standards.Record batch data, ingredient usage, and production logs accurately.Perform basic maintenance, monitor for malfunctions, and troubleshoot equipment issues.

 

Requirements:

6 months to 1+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or a similar environment.Strong attention to detail, basic math skills for ingredient calculations, and ability to follow strict recipes.Ability to lift heavy materials (often 50+ lbs.), stand for long periods, and work in varied temperatures.Forklift certification a plus
