HR Generalist

EPIC Health is seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our growing, multi-site healthcare organization. This role focuses on multi-state compliance, benefits administration, employee relations, and building structured HR processes that scale with our organization.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who understands healthcare HR, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and can balance compliance with employee support.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration & ACA Compliance
Manage employee benefits programs (medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401k).
Lead annual Open Enrollment.
Administer ACA compliance, including Forms 1094-C and 1095-C.
Manage eligibility tracking and life event changes.
Partner with brokers and vendors to ensure compliance and issue resolution.
Multi-State Employment Law & Compliance
Ensure compliance with federal and multi-state employment laws.
Maintain working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, OSHA, wage/hour laws, and state-specific regulations.
Support audits and maintain regulatory readiness.
Policy & SOP Development
Create and maintain HR Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Update employee handbook and HR policies.
Standardize processes to support organizational growth and consistency across locations.
Employee Relations
Serve as a trusted HR resource for employees and managers.
Provide guidance on policies, workplace concerns, and investigations.
Support performance management and corrective action processes.
Recruitment & Onboarding (Support Role)
Assist leadership with hiring needs and recruitment coordination.
Post job openings, screen candidates, and schedule interviews.
Coordinate background checks and onboarding documentation.
Ensure a smooth and compliant new hire experience.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
3+ years HR Generalist experience (healthcare preferred).
Strong knowledge of multi-state employment law.
Direct experience with:
Open Enrollment
1094-C / 1095-C reporting
Benefits life-event administration
SOP creation
Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
Preferred:
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR certification.
Experience in a multi-site healthcare organization.
