About the Role:

As a CNC Machine Operator in the manufacturing industry, you will play a critical role in producing high-quality precision parts by operating and maintaining computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Your primary objective will be to set up, program, and run CNC equipment to manufacture components according to detailed specifications and blueprints. You will ensure that all parts meet strict quality standards by performing regular inspections and making necessary adjustments to the machines. Collaboration with engineering and quality assurance teams will be essential to troubleshoot issues and optimize production processes. Ultimately, your expertise will contribute to efficient manufacturing operations, minimizing downtime and waste while maximizing product accuracy and consistency.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine setup.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in CNC operation or machining technology.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software.
  • Knowledge of various materials and machining processes.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards such as ISO or Six Sigma.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform minor machine repairs independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up CNC machines by loading materials, installing tools, and inputting programming instructions based on engineering drawings.
  • Operate CNC equipment to produce parts with precision, monitoring machine performance and making adjustments as needed.
  • Conduct routine inspections and measurements of finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machines to maintain optimal functionality and reduce downtime.
  • Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve production issues and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine logs, inspection reports, and material usage documentation.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe working environment.

Skills:

The required skills enable the CNC Machine Operator to accurately interpret technical drawings and set up machines to produce parts that meet exact specifications. Attention to detail and manual dexterity are essential for monitoring machine operations and performing precise adjustments to maintain quality. Familiarity with CNC programming allows the operator to input and modify instructions to optimize production efficiency. Preferred skills such as CAD/CAM software knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities enhance the operator's ability to collaborate with engineering teams and resolve technical issues swiftly.
