The Outlook at Windhaven team is looking for talented individuals to be part of the team as our new Front Desk PRN!

PRN (As Needed)

This is a PRN (as-needed) position with no guaranteed hours. Scheduling is based on staffing needs, including coverage for callouts, vacations, and periods of increased demand. PRN teammates are expected to maintain flexibility and availability to cover open shifts as needed.

Available Shifts to Cover:

PRN teammates may be scheduled to cover the following shifts based on need:

Monday - Sunday:

8:00 am - 4:00 pm

4:00 pm - 12:00 am

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Models a service-oriented attitude toward others, takes ownership in problem-solving, and takes initiative to improve processes and outcomes

Is friendly and courteous to residents, patients, and coworkers

Answers phones within three rings; takes messages and/or directs calls to the appropriate party

Greets and directs visitors (e.g., family members, vendors, prospective residents, volunteers)

Assists residents with various needs (e.g., making change, submitting requests, handling mail, scheduling appointments)

Collects resident fees and issues receipts

Assists with outgoing mail (e.g., first-class, return receipt, UPS)

Receives and distributes resident and facility mail

Forwards appropriate mail (e.g., deceased residents, residents who have moved)

Performs routine clerical duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager/Resident Services Director

Schedules residents appointments in accordance with the established drive schedule and routine

Reports all unusual situations to the Business Office Manager/Resident Services Director, keeping them informed of problems, accidents, or special needs arising from front desk communications

Maintains Resident Services Desk supplies and forms; restocks as needed

Distributes forms and requests to the appropriate person in a timely manner

Performs other duties as assigned by the Business Office Manager/Resident Services Director

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate or GED

Two years experience on PBX or multi-line telephone systems

Prefer front office experience, specifically interaction with customers

Ability to sit for extended periods of time as well as getting up frequently to direct residents, visitors and staff to other areas

Ability to handle intercom system, copier machine and various systems

Ability to accurately make change

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing, with residents, visitors, and staff

Ability to sit for extended periods of time as well as getting up frequently to direct residents, visitors and staff to other areas

Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with high demands

Ability to maintain pleasant, caring and compassionate demeanor in stressful situations

Ability to read, write and speak English

Ability to perform Essential Duties

Genuine caring for and interest in the care of mature adults, persons with disabilities and hospice patients

Ability to comply with the Resident Bill of Rights and the Employee Responsibilities

Ability to comply with organizational and departmental safety policies and procedures



Salary Information

$16.00 - $17.50 Hourly Wage
