Position Overview:

The Sales Associate plays a key role in supporting the senior sales team, with a strong focus on custom quoting and providing exceptional customer support. This role also helps maintain day-to-day showroom operations and requires someone who is highly organized, client-focused, and possesses excellent phone and email communication skills.

The Sales Associate’s primary role is to support the sales team, by providing vital administrative and sales support, with a strong focus on custom rug quoting and exceptional customer support. This role also helps maintain day-to-day showroom operations and requires someone who is highly organized, client-focused, and possesses excellent phone and email communication skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Supports the sales team through accurate preparation of custom rug quotes, fabric reserves, and detailed stock verification.

· Serves as a main point of contact for client inquiries via phone or email, as well as assisting clients in the showroom.

· Manage all client sample requests including in the showroom, messenger service requests, and shipments.

· Set up new trade accounts and ensure client records are accurately maintained in the customer database.

· Ensure daily upkeep of up the showroom, always maintaining an organized and polished atmosphere, especially following client visits and meetings.

· Manage the showroom sample inventory with full ownership—monitoring levels, maintaining organization, and replenishing samples consistently.

· Support all product installations and collection, including scheduling and communication with vendors and shipping partners.

· Record and track showroom activity daily including out of territory client interactions.

· Lead quarterly visual merchandising inventory status report to submit to samples department.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

· Must be skilled at creating quotes with a high degree of accuracy and strong mathematical competency.

· Must work well with the team collaboratively to support smooth operations and strong coordination.

· Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.

· Must be able to manage time effectively, quickly identify priorities, and shift between tasks with ease.

· Must possess excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

· Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week.


EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree in design or related field preferred; or a combination of education & relevant work experience in a similar role.

· 2+ years of experience in a client-facing role, preferably in the interior design, showroom, or luxury goods industry.

· Must be comfortable learning and using the company’s CRM and operational systems.

$65000.0 - $80000.0 Annual Salary
