About this position
A Painter/Shop Assistant, you will report directly to the Shop Manager.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Primary Role Painter:
• Remove leftover dirt or grease from power washing
• Mask of vital labels, displays, and switches
• Spray plastic parts with detail black
• Mask of all painted parts
• Mask
• Reassemble Forklift, to include seats, and parts initially removed. Make sure all parts a secured
• Apply safety decals
• Remove overspray, and touch up where needed
• Remove forklift from paint area when finished
• Notify supervisor of completion
Secondary Role Shop Assistant may include:
• Shop facility maintenance
• Remove all trash from shop and put items away.
• Check for spills on the floor & use floor dry then clean up.
• Sweep shop floor.
• Detail Showroom lifts and get them ready for shipping.
• Wrap lifts for shipment when required.
• Help unload trucks when needed.
• Power-wash assigned units.
• Running errands for shop and office when necessary
• Other duties as assigned by management.
Skills and Specifications:
• OSHA forklift operation certificate. (Company to provide)
• 2+ years automotive paint experience
• Possess excellent communication skills-Verbal and Written
• Physical exertion required. Including, but not limited to, walking, standing, stooping, bending, and lifting to ninety pounds.
• Frequent exposure to the elements
