Job Summary:
Operators are responsible for setting up and maintaining centerless grinding machines to grind precision bar stock and machine components to the required specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Machine Setup:
  • Experience setting up and operation of a Cincinnati LR220-8
  • Experience setting up and operating a Royal Master TG12x4
  • Knowledge of bowl feeder setup and operation
Grinding Process; Process and Application
  • Knowledge of grinding wheels and applications
  • Knowledge of materials preferred in aerospace and medical applications
  • Measure and inspect finished workpieces to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards
Maintenance and Troubleshooting; Machine and Material:
  • Perform routine maintenance on grinding machines to ensure their optimal operation
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with the grinding process or machinery
  • Replace worn or damaged machine parts, such as wheels or blades
  • Troubleshoot material issues, such as taring and out of round conditions
Requirements:
  • Experience with grinding equipment
Skills:
  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift and move packages and potentially operate equipment
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications (Knowledge of JobBoss² a plus)
