Requirements:

 

  • Assist candidates for enrollment and students transferring from one Douglas J Institute to another with financial aid and financing information
  • Prepare, manage and complete student financial aid files
  • Perform intake and assessment as well as packaging, origination, reporting and tracking of awards and financial aid related activities in accordance with Douglas J’s policies
  • Provide guidance to students completing FAFSA and all required paperwork for Federal, state, institutional, private financial aid and other financial resources
  • Work closely with campus and resource center financial aid staff to assure timely processing of data and disbursements
  • Satisfactorily complete new hire training as well as attend all on-going training sessions
  • Attend training conferences when scheduled
  • Participate in regularly scheduled accountability meetings involving both the campus and resource center staff.
  • Maintain accurate records in company database and financial aid related software and/or websites
  • Provide outstanding customer service to colleagues, students and parents


Qualifications:

  

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. (Bachelor’s degree preferred)
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience with database use preferred
  • Meet federal eligibility criteria to access federal websites
  • Ability to multi-task in a highly active environment
  • Extremely detail oriented and organized, goal oriented
  • Work efficiently and meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Customer-service oriented
  • Self-starter, follows instructions well, can work independently, team player
  • Polished, professional image, consistent with the Douglas J Image Principle
  • Must be able to work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Must be able and willing to travel; traveling to conferences, workshops and other DJAI campuses may be required.
