Position Overview:

Gain a holistic overview of the Finance side of the house at Avidia bank. Provide general support including assistance with a variety of high level projects, processes, and other ad hoc assignments in Treasury, Finance, and Accounting.   


Primary Responsibilities:

Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers:

  • Review of the general ledger. Collaborate with internal departments to determine the accuracy of fixed assts. Research stale dated items. Report findings and make adjustments as needed.
  • Performs reconciliations on simpler general ledger and bank checking accounts. Maintain the reconciliation frequency according to needs by account.
  • Assists management with testing journal entries.
  • Performs a variety of daily processing activities, e.g. gathering interoffice mail for departments, scanning documents and indexing archives.
  • Provides back up for Accounts Payable.
  • Review and update procedures for a variety of finance and accounting tasks.
  • Performs a variety of administrative support duties as required.
  • Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines.

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with additional college level accounting or finance coursework completed while pursuing a degree in Accounting Finance or other relevant business discipline.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles with strong organizational, customer service delivery, and analytical thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to productively interact with all departments, managers and staff within the bank.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in task completion.
  • Proficient computing skills including Microsoft Office applications.
