The Opportunity

Creativity, collaboration and a commitment to innovative practice are deeply valued at UTS. We are looking for a dynamic educator with Canadian & World Studies and English teaching qualifications who can inspire and empower students to think creatively and embark on an educational journey.

Can you bring Geography and literature to life? We are looking for an exceptional educator to join us for a career at UTS that is anything but textbook!

Equipped with critical thinking skills and a better understanding of their roles as engaged global citizens, you will be instrumental in helping students find ways they can make a positive difference around them.

This is a 100% (full-time) one-year appointment, combining a Long Term Occasional (LTO) CWS timetable equal to 80%LTO and 20% Associate Teacher duties, for the 2025-2026 academic year, starting August 26, 2025.


You need to be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers and will ideally have at least two (2) years of teaching experience with Intermediate/Senior qualifications in Geography and/or History. Honours Specialist Qualifications, an interest in Anti-Racism, Equity, Diversity & Inclusion initiatives, as well as an interest in our rich co-curricular program will make you the ideal candidate.
