About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Phlebotomist to join our team at Community Health Center of Fort Dodge, Inc. As a Phlebotomist, you will be responsible for drawing blood, venipuncture, phlebotomy, blood drawing, specimen process, specimen collection, blood collection. Your primary goal will be to ensure the accurate and timely collection of samples from patients, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and patient care.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
- Valid certification in phlebotomy
- At least 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood samples from patients
- Prepare and process specimens for laboratory testing
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and test results
- Ensure compliance with all safety and infection control procedures
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service
Skills:
As a Phlebotomist, you will utilize your skills in drawing blood, venipuncture, phlebotomy, blood drawing, specimen process, specimen collection, blood collection, and plasma processing techniques on a daily basis. You will also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide exceptional patient care and customer service. Additionally, proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and fluency in English and Spanish are preferred but not required.
