About this position
Summary:
The primary function of this position is to Weld, Fabricate and re-work cases and housings. You will also be responsible for helping Drivetrain Technicians with Daily welding and Fabricating needs.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Get direction from shop leads on priority of work.
- Perform re-work functions as described by Shop leads.
- Ability to weld Aluminum, Cast Iron, and Magnesium.
Work with Machinists on projects that require welding.
- Ensure the finished Weld is in good working order and cosmetically up to standards.
- Inform maintenance when machinery breakdown occurs.
- Maintain a clean and safe work space.
- Other tasks as directed.
- Will conduct these responsibilities in a professional and timely manner.
- Able to work well with others.
- Always wear Proper PPE.
Requirements
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Basic automotive and mechanical skills.
- Experience using basic power tools.
Capable of using Plasma cutter and Torch.
- Ability to weld MiG/TIG and wire feed.
Knowledge and Personal Attributes:
- Able to work independently.
- Ability to work well with others.
- Attention to Detail.
