Position Summary


The Finance Intern supports the Finance Department with administrative, financial, and data-related tasks that contribute to the organization’s fiscal health and operational efficiency. This position provides practical experience in nonprofit finance, budgeting, and financial compliance while supporting a mission-driven organization.


Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with data entry, filing, and organization of financial records
  • Support accounts payable and receivable processes, as appropriate
  • Assist with budget tracking and expense monitoring
  • Support financial report preparation and internal documentation
  • Maintain accurate and organized financial files
  • Assist with audit preparation and compliance-related tasks
  • Collaborate with finance staff on special projects, as assigned
  • Perform other finance-related duties, as needed

Requirements

 Qualifications

  • Current student or recent graduate in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems preferred
  • Interest in nonprofit finance and mission-driven work
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
