The Video Editor, Advertising is responsible for producing high converting advertisement content across social and digital platforms. This role focuses on short form and performance driven video creative for Facebook, Instagram Reels, YouTube ads, TikTok, and other emerging platforms.
You will take strategic direction from the marketing, creative and paid media teams and transform raw footage, scripts, and concepts into compelling, scroll stopping advertisements designed to drive measurable results. This role requires a strong understanding of direct response principles, pacing, hooks, and retention techniques tailored for paid traffic environments.
This is an execution focused role ideal for a highly skilled editor who understands both storytelling and performance marketing, thrives in a fast paced environment, and can consistently deliver high quality creative on tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Edit high performing video advertisements optimized for paid social and digital platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Facebook, and emerging channels.
Transform raw footage, interviews, testimonials, and repurposed content into conversion focused ad creatives.
Develop strong hooks, pacing, and visual patterns that maximize audience retention and engagement.
Incorporate motion graphics, captions, sound design, music, and on screen elements to enhance clarity and impact.
Collaborate closely with paid media managers and marketing leadership to align creative with campaign objectives, target audiences, and performance data.
Produce multiple creative variations for testing, including different hooks, formats, lengths, and calls to action.
Ensure all final exports meet platform specific specifications, aspect ratios, and formatting requirements.
Maintain brand consistency in tone, messaging, and visual identity across all video assets.
Improve video and audio quality through color correction, color grading, audio enhancement, and post production best practices.
Stay current on industry trends, platform updates, AI tools, and emerging ad creative strategies.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict production timelines.
Edit additional video content outside of paid advertising as needed, including organic social content, event recaps, internal communications, promotional assets, and brand storytelling initiatives to support broader marketing objectives.
Qualifications:
3 to 5 years of professional video editing experience in a marketing, advertising, or performance driven environment, or equivalent portfolio depth demonstrating strong video creative work.
Strong portfolio demonstrating paid media creatives, short form social ads, or conversion focused content.
Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Adobe Premiere Pro. Experience with After Effects and Audition is preferred.
Experience with motion graphics, kinetic typography, and basic animation techniques.
Strong understanding of social media ad formats, vertical video editing, and platform best practices.
Experience using AI tools to enhance workflow, ideation, editing efficiency, or creative output.
Solid knowledge of color correction, color grading, and audio post production.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with creative and marketing teams.
High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, professional content.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced, performance oriented environment while maintaining a positive and solution focused attitude.
