Pay: $52,000-$62,400 Anually
Schedule: Full Time, Exempt (40 hours/week)
Work Arrangement: On-site (Hybrid eligible after 90 Days)

Position Summary: The Manager of Support Services oversees supportive service programming across Hope Manor Village (HMV), Hope Manor II (HMII), and Hope Manor Joliet (HMJ). This role supervises Client Support and Service Coordinators, Peer Support Specialists, and interns while ensuring services are delivered effectively and in alignment with VOA Illinois policies and trauma-informed care practices. Using a strengths-based and culturally responsive approach, the Manager of Support Services coordinates services, collaborates with community partners and property management, and supports residents in achieving stability and long-term well-being.
Work Environment & Schedule:
- Full-time, in-office position averaging 40 hours per week
- Eligible for at least one remote workday per week after Initial Training Period
- Community-based travel required (Chicago metropolitan area)
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Physical demands include sedentary work, computer use, and frequent communication with clients, colleagues, and partners involved in client support.
- Must be able to travel within the community, transport clients when necessary, and assist clients in and out of vehicles
What You'll Do:
- Oversee hiring, supervision, and professional development of Client Support and Service Coordinators, Peer Support Specialists, and social services interns across Hope Manor Village (HMV), Hope Manor II (HMII), and Hope Manor Joliet (HMJ)
- Direct daily program operations to ensure services align with VOA Illinois policies, procedures, and program objectives
- Provide leadership and support during crisis situations while effectively serving diverse populations
- Build and maintain trauma-informed, person-centered relationships with residents and provide direct services when needed
- Collaborate with community partners, service providers, and property management to ensure coordinated care and continuity of services
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of resident files, service plans, and case notes in required systems
- Support the development and implementation of youth programming for residents' dependents, including after-school and mentoring initiatives
- Promote a positive organizational culture and represent VOA Illinois professionally in the community, including engaging volunteers and external resources
- Maintain a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to meet resident and program needs
- Support collaboration, continuous improvement, and uphold the mission and values of VOA Illinois
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor
- Exhibit cultural competence while serving clients of diverse backgrounds and commit to expanding knowledge and understanding of different communities and people groups.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of direct experience in the human services field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools
- Strong English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational, customer service, and multitasking skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with diverse staff, residents, and partners
Preferred:
- 2+ years of management or leadership experience
- Prior experience working with individuals experiencing homelessness and/or behavioral health challenges
- Familiarity with Medicaid billing processes
