The core responsibilities of this role include:

Position: Customer Service Representative
Shift: 1st Shift, Every other Wednesday 6:00am to 6:00pm, Thursday thru Saturday 6:00am to 6:00pm
Pay: $19.75
Additional Incentives: N/A

In addition to the general job description below, the ideal candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:

  • Customer service in a logistics or transportation environment
  • Dispatch or Transportation Management System (TMS) experience for scheduling truckloads or LTL shipments
  • Effective communication with carriers and clients to coordinate pickups and resolve issues
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
  • Experience with commercial Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) such as JDA, Blue Yonder, Red Prairie, SAP
  • Familiarity with View software and ability to navigate customer portals
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric team environment

Role Purpose:

Process orders and prepare correspondence to fulfill customer needs. Responsible for providing product, service, and transit information to the customer and act as a liaison to facilitate issue resolution.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Resolve product or service problems: clarify the customer's complaint, determine the cause of the problem, select and explain the best solution to solve the problems, expedite correction or adjustment, follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Maintain customer records and update account information.
  • Maintain financial accounts by processing customer adjustments.
  • Prepare product or service reports by collecting and analyzing customer information. Assist with order and product management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 0-12 months of system, data entry or reporting experience
  • 0-12 months of warehouse experience, preferred
