DRIVER

Applewood Village is seeking a reliable and dedicated Bus Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers to their destinations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires strong communication skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain a positive environment for all passengers.

Duties

• Safely operate a bus or van according to established routes and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with passengers, providing information about routes, schedules, and any delays.
• Ensure the safety of all passengers by adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, performing routine inspections and minor mechanical checks as needed.
• Assist passengers with boarding and disembarking, especially those with disabilities or special needs.
• Handle any passenger inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Document any incidents or issues that arise during transit and report them to management as necessary.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for bus operation.
• Proven experience in shuttle driving, school bus driving, or delivery driving is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Mechanical knowledge is a plus for performing basic maintenance checks on the vehicle.
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor in stressful situations while ensuring passenger safety.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed.
