Job Title: Meat Slicer

Reports To: Kitchen Manager
NuVue Foods operates a large Culinary Center in Hamtramck, MI producing Fresh & Frozen Foods for Convenience Stores, Business Dining Management Companies, and C -Store Distributors around the country – with single serve RTE packaged Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Items. We have expanded our facility to create large batch recipes for creating packaged Entrée’s, Select non-leaf Salads, Sandwich fillings, and fresh baked stuffed bread. We are looking for a talented individual, with Ambition, Innovative & Creative Vision, a willingness to learn new skills. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in a moderate pace commercial kitchen, possess a positive attitude, team player, and have a good work ethic.
- Slice a variety of meats to meet production schedules.
- Be HAACP Certified or willing to take the class sponsored by the company.
- Handle and store food and ingredients in accordance with HAACP Standards
- Maintain Food Safety under USDA/FDA Requirements
- Setup workstations with required ingredients and equipment to meet production goals.
- Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients.
- Prepare Meat, Vegetables, Poultry, and other foods for packaging.
- Must be able to keep calm in face-paced and stressful environments.

- Monday-Friday (Alternating weekends NO SATURDAYS)

Relevant Experience
- Commercial, Large Hospitality, or high-volume prepping & cooking experience
Education
- High school diploma
Monday - Friday 7:00 AM-3:00 PM; Every other Sunday
