About this position
Duties will include:
*Inspect and assess tires for damage, wear and tear.
*Repair punctured tires and replace worn-out tires
*Mount and balance tires on wheels
*Perform basic brake repairs and maintenance
*Possess basic knowledge and use of automotive diagnostic equipment
*Record and maintain tire inventory. Report inventory levels to supervisor to ensure optimal stock on hand
*Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and well-organized work area
*Use various hand and power tools to perform tire services.
*Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and at times in austere locations
*Available to work long hours and respond to afterhours call outs
Required skills:
*Knowledge of tire types, sizes and tread patterns
*Ability to use various tire service equipment and tools
*Strong attention to detail and accuracy
*Excellent communication and customer service skills
*Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy tires
*Time management and organizational skills
*The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Basic computer skills for inventory management
Required Qualifications:
*High School diploma or equivalent
*Valid drivers license and clean driving record
*Previous experience in automotive repair or tire service is preferred
*Completion of tire technician training program or certification is a plus
*Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
