Role Summary:  At Calvary, we aim to create a worship environment that fosters deep connection with Jesus. This role is crucial, involving worship leadership and  service planning in collaboration with the Creative Arts and NextGen teams.


Approximately 50% of your time will be dedicated to leading main worship services at the Minnetonka Campus and managing associated administrative tasks. The remaining 50% will focus on leading worship and handling administrative duties for our Wednesday evening youth worship services.


The ideal candidate is a team player who can navigate the challenges of building a culture, establishing new rhythms, and creating experiences. A passion for multi-generational worship is essential for members of the Creative Arts Team. We are looking for an individual with a growth mindset, continually seeking improvement, who can leverage their influence and leadership to expand our contractor and volunteer base. The ability to assist with social media is a plus.


Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead Worship Services:

    • Direct and lead all worship services held at the Minnetonka Campus and as assigned at the Golden Valley Campus, ensuring a consistent, engaging and Spirit-led experience for congregants.

    • Oversee and lead Wednesday evening youth worship services, tailoring the selections to resonate with a younger audience with the objective of teaching them to worship.

    • Collaborate in the planning and culture-shaping with the Creative Arts Director, and Creative Arts Department. 

    • Lead, build and grow a youth worship team.

    • Develop, grow, and use weekly co-leads in worship.

  • Administrative Management:

    • Manage all administrative tasks associated with campus worship services, including scheduling, resource allocation, and communication.

    • Regularly update, schedule, onboard, and utilize PCO for service planning.

    • Communicate with contract musicians and volunteers. 

    • Regularly build Sunday’s tracks using Multi-Tracks

    • Regularly update, build, and maintain the Pro-Presenter show for Sunday morning. I.e: adding slides, downloading the back-up message, etc. 

    • Create a weekly group chat for the coming Sunday.

    • Assist in vision casting, budget planning, and campus initiatives. 

    • Handle administrative duties related to youth worship services, ensuring smooth operation and coordination.

    • Proactively solve problems, take initiative, ask questions. 

  • Collaborative Planning:

    • Work in close collaboration with the Creative Arts team to plan all worship services, ensuring artistic and technical excellence.

    • Partner closely with the NextGen team to develop and integrate worship services that lead to spiritual growth and engagement of the next generation within the church community.

Personal Responsibilities: 

  • Exhibit a growth mindset continuously seeking ways to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus which includes evaluating your ministry or support area against department goals and personal performance.

  • Live in such a way that your witness, example, service to others, and worship does not become a stumbling block. (I Timothy 3:2 and Acts 15:19).

  • Work towards a tithe (10%) to Jesus and the mission of Calvary. 


Qualifications:

  • Must demonstrate excellent vocal skills and be able to coach team members

  • Must demonstrate excellent instrumental skills (guitar or piano preferred) 

  • Must have knowledge of basic media software and/or a willingness to invest in self-guided training (Planning Center Online, Multi-Tracks,  ProPresenter, Logic Pro, Ableton, Final Cut Pro, etc.)

  • Clear, timely, and proactive communication.

$23.0 - $26.0 Hourly Wage
