Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager

About this position

Provide technical and consultative/sales support regarding database marketing solutions to both internal and external customers.  Utilize PC based software for hands on data manipulation, extraction and evaluation.  Assist in training new Business Analysts and other related positions  Participate in the development of the Department/Team; help identify and execute new and/or updated policies and procedures.  Manage daily work flow of dedicated project team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and evolve a best in class marketing database management service offering.
  • Provide technical and consultative sales support to both internal and external customers by determining how the Hibbert Group’s system and process capabilities can best provide solutions for prospects’ and clients’ marketing activities and programs.
  • Account Executives by determining how the Hibbert Group’s system and process capabilities can best provide solutions for prospects’ and clients’ marketing activities and programs.
  • Participate in client presentations and/or industry events (trade shows) as required.
  • Demonstrate market2 solutions to clients and prospects.
  • Continue to develop the database tools.
  • Interact with client’s Marketing Managers, Product Owners and Advertising agencies to develop solutions to meet strategic marketing objectives.
  • Manage the setup of database marketing solutions from discovery to implementation.  
  • Provide and review business requirements with internal application development.
  • Provide feedback at design reviews and recommend application enhancements.
  • Provide project management including cost tracking and consultation on all projects.
  • Interaction with Prospects, Clients, Account Teams, Account Management, IT and Production Areas.
  • Develop and follow database policies and procedures, including data input standards and review of data integrity.
  • Develop and utilize quality control checklists.
  • Recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Develop project lifecycle standards – library of standard development processes, product policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for design reviews and recommending application enhancements.
  • Attend internal and client meetings as required.
  • Responsible for managing transition to Account team.
  • All other Sr/Lead related duties as listed on the Performance Appraisal Form to include management backup, support for department work load management, process documentation, staff training and staff evaluation.
  • Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all ISO 9001 related standards.
  • Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager.
  • Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.
  • All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management.

SKILLS:

  • Experience in Microsoft Windows environment including Excel and Access.
  • Solid project management and analytical skills.
  • General technical understanding of marketing database technology.
  • Experience performing queries for segmentation, retention, prospecting, and cross-selling.
  • Knowledge and understanding of direct marketing processes.
  • Knowledge and expertise in customer data management, CRM, database marketing analysis, and data warehousing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills with attention to detail and quality.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with relational technology and data schemas.
  • Experience with developing and understanding SQL queries to be used for analysis and report writing.
  • Familiarity with Marketing concepts and terminology associated with the Product Marketing development life cycle.
  • Ability to present to clients and effectively support sales.
  • Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language.
  • Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc).
  • Successfully comprehends business materials written in English ( job assignments, instructions, etc).
  • 5 demonstrated successful project transitions meeting budget, deadline and customer (internal and external) expectations.
  • Ability to independently manage large projects (+ $35,000)

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

College degree or equivalent work experience.

Project Management certification – PMI, maintain certification

Moderate lifting to 40 lbs.

 

EXPERIENCE:

3 – 5 years experience in marketing and relational technologies.

3 years experience as a Business Analyst or related project hours (6,500).
