About this position
The role as an Estimator is to ensure that the customer receives a legendary customer service experience. The Estimator needs to ensure accurate repair plan and estimated completion date is provided. The Estimator is responsible for client sales and service activities to maximize revenue, profitability, and client satisfaction. Actively seek value-add sales opportunities and maximize gross profit when creating estimates. The Estimator manages communication and contact with clients and insurance partners to ensure client satisfaction. The Estimator works closely with the CSR & production team, and is responsible for providing accurate information to customers and TD in terms of pricing, damage, and estimated time of repair.

Job Duties
- Review insurance assignment, repair orders and estimates for repair cost and plan work to be performed.
- Utilize a repair vs. replace philosophy when writing all estimates.
- Help Intake vehicles, and create estimates that adheres to TD insurance/CRE standards.
- Collaborate with production and parts manager to ensure production and profitability targets are met.
- Create repair estimates for clients according to CRE and insurance company’s best practices.
- Take required photos of damages as per CRE Best Practices.
- Actively seek value-add sales opportunities when inspecting the vehicle.
- Develop estimates with a focus on projected gross profit, while managing severity.
- Uploading to and updating files for, our insurance partners timely and accurately.
- Collaborate with CSR to ensure exceptional follow-up and service.
- Monitor vehicle production in collaboration with production and parts manager to ensure timely delivery.
- Review completed repair to be sure all operations are complete to CRE standards.
- Close RO files and track job performance in collaboration with Production and Parts Manager to optimize profitability.
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company and departmental policies, procedures and standards.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area in order to comply with all health & safety procedures.
- Other related tasks as required.
Requirements
- High school or college automotive body repair diploma
- At least 2 years of collision repair experience in estimating/sales
- Experience and competence with estimating systems (Ultramate, Mitchell Cloud Estimating & Connect and BMS (Mitchell RepairCenter)
- Possess a valid drivers' license
- Proven leadership and track record of success
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
