Summary
The primary role of this position is to be Steele Solutions (SSi) customer site contact for the assigned region. The Field Project Manager works at different customer’s locations and travels up to 60% to different project sites. The field Project Manager works with the SR. Project Management team and other departments to support the successful implementation of complete chute & mezzanine systems for our clients through meticulous documentation, coordination and communication
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the development of project charters, project plans and project schedules, facilitating the administration and maintenance of all project documentationSupport the delivery of a project in accordance with the scheduleActive conflict resolution and facilitation with both internal employees and external clients, vendors, partners etc.Foster and instill positive communication between internal teams, general contractors, city/county permitting inspection officials, sub-contractors and the customerWhile on-site, make tactical decisions ensuring achieving of project goalsDrive and support high levels of accountable performance both internally and externallyMaintain communication with the team and ensure timely assistanceAssist with the communication of internal business systems and processes on siteIdentify, qualify and manage the outsourcing of manufactured componentsManage sub-contractor(s) contracted by SSiAbility to apply mechanical aptitude when requiredQualifications
Ability to travel nationally and work at project sites 60% of the time is required Occasional international travel may occurExperience in project management/site supervision in an industrial construction site are strongly preferredAbility to obtain OSHA 30 within 60 days of hire at company expense Knowledge of manufacturing processesIntermediate skills in Microsoft Office requiredExperience with project management and collaboration software preferredFamiliarity with AutoCAD and Tekla design software preferredStrong organizational, time management, and problem solving/analytical skills requiredExcellent communication and presentation skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively from customer sites. Ability to be decisive, self-driven and establish credibility while supporting company prioritiesAbility to read blueprintsStrong mechanical aptitude
