About this position
Job Objective/ Summary
The responsibility of the Facilities Coordinator is to coordinate all aspects of facilities including building upkeep and maintenance, grounds, housekeeping, laundry, reception services, and security. This position also ensures compliance with AHCA, OSHA, NFPA and all other applicable regulatory organizations.
Essential Functions
- Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities for the Environmental Services department.
- Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules.
- Investigate accidents or injuries and prepare reports of findings.
- Requisition materials and supplies, such as tools, equipment, or replacement parts.
- Conduct or arrange for worker training in safety, repair, maintenance techniques, operational procedures, or equipment use.
- Develop, implement, or evaluate Maintenance, Security, Grounds and Environmental Services policies and procedures.
- Compute estimates and actual costs of factors, such as materials, labor, or outside contractors.
- Examine objects, systems, or facilities and analyze information to determine needed installation, services, or repairs.
- Adhere to The Estates at Carpenters’ policies and procedures, including those covering privacy and security in compliance with HIPAA regulations, and codes of conduct. Maintain confidentiality and respects resident’s privacy at all times in accordance with HIPAA regulations.

- Qualifications and Job Requirements
Job Education, Licenses/Certifications, Knowledge & Experience
- High School diploma or the equivalent. A minimum of three (3) years previous work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
Additional Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, uses, repairs, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property and institutions.

- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Requirements

- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.
- Must be able to pass the pre-employment reference checks.
- Must be able to provide official grade transcripts of the education level provided on the employment application.
- Must be able to provide a copy of his/her own social security card for W-4 documentation.
- Must be able to provide applicable documentation(s) for I-9 in order to establish identity and authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must have valid driver’s license, personal automobile liability insurance, and acceptable driving record (if required to drive).
Bloodborne Pathogens Exposure Category I
Your tasks routinely involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissues, or other contaminated materials. In compliance with OSHA standards on blood borne pathogens, The Estates at Carpenters will offer Hepatitis B vaccine to all employees who are determined to be at risk of exposure to blood or other body fluids and follow up to all employees who have had an exposure incident. This vaccine will be provided at no cost to the employee.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time, occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling. The job may be performed under some temperature extremes and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
