Requirements:The Senior Project Controller will provide financial analysis, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure fiscal integrity and operational excellence throughout a multi-organizational environment. This role requires proven experience using Deltek Costpoint, including the Planning module, advanced Excel skills, and an understanding of FAR/GAAP compliance. The ideal candidate will bring proven expertise in financial oversight, and project controls within a government contracting environment.
- Oversee all financial and project control activities for assigned contracts, ensuring compliance with cost accounting standards and company policies.
- Develop and maintain accurate EACs (Estimates at Completion), forecasts, and variance analyses for multiple contract types including CPFF, FFP, T&M.
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles, providing timely insights and recommendations to program management and corporate leadership.
- Support Operations and Program Managers with scenario modeling, and strategic recommendations as needed.
- Identify process improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and enhance efficiencies of the department.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of progressive experience in financial management, project controls, or program finance within a government contracting environment.
- Proven experience using Deltek Costpoint—including project setup, revenue recognition, budgeting, forecasting and reporting functions
- Advanced Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience with EAC development, forecasting, budgeting, and variance rate analysis
- Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment with competing priorities.
