About this position
What You Do
- Prepare rooms / areas for work activities to include setting up staging areas, equipment and content protection
- Provide direction to subcontractors
- Maintain clean and organized work areas to include securely storing equipment and supplies while not in use
- Interface with customers and relay information to Project Director or Superintendent when appropriate
- Complete paperwork, upload documents, and provide job updates into database as needed
- Complete punch list items with attention to detail
- Maintain equipment in clean and working condition
- Ensure the company vehicle is fully stocked at all times and travel to a nearby home improvement store to purchase needed items
- Monitor the safety, security, efficiency, and appearance of the company vehicle
- Monitor the safety, security and appearance of job sites
- Assist with demolition and general clean up as needed
What You Bring
- Minimum 5 years of experience of carpentry
- Hands on experience in drywall, paint, trim and carpentry
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
- Understanding of major trades processes (mechanical, electrical, plumbing)
- Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness
- Willingness to be flexible based on business needs
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of the correct and safe operation of all related tools and equipment
- Proficient use of computer technology
- Proficiency in light carpentry, framing, drywall, paint, trim and all aspects of repair that is common with handyman work
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and build relationships
- Eligible to operate a vehicle per company policy
