Cloud & Systems Engineer

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud & Systems Engineer to support and maintain our AWS-hosted infrastructure, serverless workloads, Windows server environment, and day-to-day IT operations.

This role is ideal for someone with foundational cloud and systems experience who is eager to deepen their expertise in AWS serverless architecture, SaaS integrations, and infrastructure automation while working in a fast-paced, small-team environment.

This position blends cloud infrastructure operations with support responsibilities. The right candidate will be comfortable handling tickets ranging from Tier 1 user issues to more complex cloud, networking, and automation troubleshooting.

We are looking for someone who is proactive, resourceful, and able to think creatively when solving problems.

Responsibilities:

Serverless Infrastructure & Cloud Operations

• Support and maintain AWS Lambda functions across multiple business domains (e-commerce, inventory, fulfillment, customer support, identity management)
• Manage AWS CDK (Infrastructure as Code) stacks for Lambda deployments, Step Functions, EventBridge rules, API Gateway endpoints, and DynamoDB tables
• Maintain and deploy Lambda layers for shared dependencies
• Support EventBridge scheduling (hourly, daily, weekly cron triggers) and Step Functions workflows
• Monitor CloudWatch logs, alarms, and SNS alert pipelines for production issues
• Manage AWS Secrets Manager credentials across SaaS integrations.
• Support S3 storage, lifecycle policies, and CloudFront distributions
• Assist with IAM role management and least-privilege access policies
• Support EC2 instances and VPC connectivity for SQL Server database access

SaaS Integration Management

• Troubleshoot and maintain OAuth token lifecycles across multiple providers.
• Support multi-brand, multi-region API integrations.
• Support customer service tool integrations.
• Manage Google Workspace API connections.

Windows & Identity Systems

• Support OneLogin SSO and user lifecycle workflows (provisioning, suspension, termination)
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server environments
• Maintain Active Directory and Group Policy
• Maintain Remote Desktop systems
• Support application servers

Database Administration

• Maintain SQL Server database connectivity from Lambda functions
• Support inventory, orders, and product data tables across multiple brands and regions
• Troubleshoot VPC-based Lambda-to-SQL Server connections

Networking

• Assist with Meraki VPN and AWS VPC connectivity troubleshooting
• Help maintain firewall rules and network documentation

CI/CD & Deployment

• Manage GitHub Actions workflows for automated Lambda deployments and layer publishing
• Deploy individual CDK stacks per function

Ticketing & End-User Support

• Resolve Tier 1-3 IT tickets via SolarWinds Service Desk
• Troubleshoot user access, endpoint, and system issues
• Escalate appropriately when necessary
• Improve internal processes and workflows

Automation & Continuous Improvement

• Review and maintain existing Python automation scripts
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency
• Contribute to monitoring and alerting improvements

• 2–3 years of experience in IT systems administration or infrastructure support
• Hands-on AWS experience (Lambda, IAM, S3, CloudWatch, Secrets Manager); AWS certification a plus
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK or CloudFormation) and serverless architectures (Lambda, Step Functions, EventBridge)
• Windows Server administration and Active Directory / SSO (e.g., OneLogin) support
• Foundational networking knowledge (VPNs, routing, firewalls), including Meraki environments
• SQL Server administration and connectivity experience
• Experience managing OAuth/API credential lifecycles across SaaS platforms and e-commerce APIs
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions)
• Python scripting experience
• Experience supporting system transitions or migrations
