Global LT’s is looking for an experienced Cross-Cultural Trainer to facilitate a "Working Across Cultures" program.
Job Information:
- Cultural Trainer to present in-person cross-cultural training about Qatar
- Specific schedule is yet to be confirmed, but the training should take place during the month of March
- Presentation of 1 day (8 hours) to a group of employees at their office in Boston (ZIP code: 02215)
- Content: To be customized by the trainer. The program might include the following topics:
o Culture iceberg & dimensions of culture
o High-context vs. low-context communication
o Cultural values: hierarchy, time, uncertainty, avoidance, etc.
• Company Cultural Profile
o Insight from team assessments
o Strengths and blind spots in communication
• Cultural Snapshot
o Overview of US workplace communication norms
o Overview of Qatar workplace communication norms
• Strategies for Bridging the Gap
o Practical tools for adjusting communication
o Feedback styles, decision-making, and building trust
• Action Planning
o Individual and team-level strategies to apply
o Expectations and preparation for real life experience
Responsibilities:
- Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging sessions that prepare attendees for the cultural adjustment curve
- Delivering personalized programs that address business, social, and the skills needed to achieve cultural competence
- Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in English enough to work with English-speaking team
- Previous experience in providing Cultural Training
- Trainers have either a degree or have attended classes and/or seminars in Intercultural Studies or related fields
- Good communication and presentation skills
