Aviation Inflatables is seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Facility and Safety Manager to improve theoperational performance and physical integrity of the facility. This critical role ensures a safe, efficient, and productive environment for employees and operations. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who prioritizes safety and takes full responsibility for the building’s upkeep. This individual should understand safety protocols and be capable of performing maintenance tasks when needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Operations & Maintenance

•  Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive preventative maintenance program for all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire suppression, security, etc.).

•  Oversee and coordinate all repair and maintenance activities, utilizing both internal teams and external contractors.

•  Conduct routine facility inspections to identify and resolve issues proactively.

•  Ensure all systems operate efficiently and comply with applicable codes and standards.

•  Optimize space utilization, including office layouts, departmental relocations, and construction/renovation projects.

Vendor & Contractor Management

•  Source, evaluate, and manage external vendors and contractors for services such as janitorial, waste management, and specialized repairs.

•  Negotiate contracts and review service proposals.

•  Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with safety protocols and company standards.

Budget & Financial Oversight

•  Develop and manage the annual facilities budget, balancing operational needs with cost-efficiency.

•  Track and analyze facility-related expenditures, identifying opportunities for savings.

•  Prepare capital expenditure proposals for major upgrades and equipment replacements.

Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance

•  Establish and enforce site-specific safety policies and procedures.

•  Ensure full compliance with OSHA, ADA, fire codes, and other relevant regulations.

•  Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.

•  Lead emergency preparedness initiatives, including evacuation plans and disaster recovery protocols.

•  Oversee hazardous material disposal and promote sustainable practices.

Team Leadership

•  Supervise, train, and mentor facility staff (e.g., maintenance technicians, custodians).

•  Delegate tasks, monitor performance, and conduct evaluations.

•  Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture.

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

•  Serve as the primary contact for all facility-related concerns from staff and leadership.

•  Maintain clear communication with internal departments, senior management, and external partners.

•  Provide regular updates and reports on facility operations, projects, and budget status.

Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

•  Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

•  Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in facilities management, with a strong record of operational success.

•  In-depth knowledge of building systems and preventative maintenance strategies.

•  Physical ability to walk, stand, and climb stairs for extended periods.

•  Willingness to be on-call for emergency situations as needed.
