JOB PURPOSE:
Perform set up on diversified lines of standard weldments and structures in accordance with alignment, and general inspection requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Inspect parts for surface defects
· Read blueprints, schematics, diagrams, or technical orders to determine methods and sequences of assembly
· Verify part dimensions are accurate to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments
· Analyze and record test results
· Align, fit, or assemble component parts, using hand or power tools, fixtures, or templates
· Monitor process, materials, and surroundings
· Perform housekeeping duties on a daily basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
· One year welding diploma or two year associates degree preferred
· Minimum of 6 months experience required
· Blueprint reading and measuring equipment experience required
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to balance and stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
