Job Title: Data Entry Operator

Important Details

  • This position is fully onsite at Adapt's Minnetonka, MN location. 

Typing Requirements:

  • 10,000 keystrokes, 10-key by touch, with 95%+ accuracy.
  • 50–55 WPM minimum, with 95%+ accuracy.
  • Typing & 10-key test required during interview.

Experience: Previous data entry experience required.

Training:

  • First 2 days: 6am–2pm (Central Time).
  • After training: flexible full-time day hours

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Enter alpha, numeric, symbolic data from source documents/mail surveys following project guidelines.
  • Key data from imaged documents.
  • Evaluate marks and interpret handwritten/machine-generated entries.
  • Maintain 10,000+ keystrokes/hour with high accuracy.
  • Must maintain a minimum level of 85% productivity
  • Work on multiple projects and meet client deadlines.
  • Sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Compare entered data with source documents for error detection.
  • Follow data entry procedures, data capture best practices, and client-specific instructions.
  • Adhere to security practices, HIPAA confidentiality, and company standards.
  • Remain adaptable to new instructions and feedback.
  • Responds to inquiries regarding entered data
  • When job responsibilities change, adapting quickly and efficiently to the next assignment.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.


FLSA Status:

  • Non-Exempt



Salary Information

$19 - $21 Hourly Wage

Skills

  • Strong typing and keystroke speed/accuracy.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Fluent in English (read, write, speak), including handwritten text.
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, quiet production environment.
  • Proficient with computer systems, chat, email, and messaging tools.
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain error-free work.
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to perform repetitive tasks reliably.
  • Maintain confidentiality and pass background/security checks.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for long periods.
  • Ability to operate a computer with ergonomic setup.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.  

Hours

  • Full-time.
  • Flexible daytime hours available post-training (between 6am–5:45pm).
