Position Summary:

The Accounting Manager oversees all accounting operations within the manufacturing facility, ensuring accurate financial reporting. This role manages the day-to-day accounting team, coordinates with all departments, and provides financial insights to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the accounting team, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger staff.
  • Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.
  • Manage inventory accounting for production operations.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain fixed asset schedules.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts; provide actionable insights to management.
  • Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors as needed.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, Purchasing, Production) to support financial planning and cost management initiatives.
  • Identify process improvements and implement accounting system enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, including knowledge of inventory and production cost accounting.
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information effectively to non-financial stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

  • Office environment within a manufacturing facility; occasional exposure to production floor may be required.
  • Standard business hours with occasional extended hours for month-end or audit periods.

Pay Range: $80,000-$95,000 annually
