About this position
We are looking for an experienced Property Manager to join our team in Waterbury, Connecticut. This position will be responsible for the day to day operations of a 63 unit affordable housing community. The successful candidate should be highly organized with excellent written and verbal communication skills and able to work both independently and as part of a team. A working familiarity with the LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) program is a plus. This position will report directly to the Regional Property Manager.
Property Management responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Marketing, waitlist management, and leasing
- Screening and recertifying tenants
- Rent collections and evictions
- Turnovers and move-outs
- Supervising on site administrative and maintenance staff
- Communication with residents and resolution of complaints and issues
- Handling emergency situations as needed
- Budget preparation
- Processing payables and receivables
- Inspections

Requirements:- College education or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of multi-site multifamily property management experience.
- Familiarity with Low Income Tax Credit program.
- Valid Drivers License.
- Proven professional leadership and supervisory skills with a demonstrated ability to select and hire direct reports.
- Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to follow-through to meet resident, agency, and organizational needs.
