Position Summary

The Interior Installer is responsible for the precise, high-quality installation of interior components in newly manufactured boats. This role includes installing seating, cabinetry, flooring, trim, hardware, and other finish elements to meet company design and quality standards.

The ideal candidate demonstrates strong craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment using marine-grade materials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install interior components including seating, cushions, cabinetry, trim, flooring, and upholstery according to design specifications

  • Measure, cut, fit, and secure materials such as wood, composites, vinyl, foam, and marine fabrics

  • Align and fasten components using appropriate hardware, adhesives, and sealants

  • Ensure all installations meet company standards for appearance, durability, and functionality

  • Read and interpret blueprints, layout diagrams, and work instructions

  • Coordinate with electrical and plumbing teams to ensure proper system routing and fitment

  • Inspect surfaces and materials prior to installation for quality and readiness

  • Make minor modifications to achieve precise fit and finish

  • Identify and report defects, shortages, or inconsistencies to supervisors

  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized workspace

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or marine carpentry/upholstery training preferred

  • Experience in boat interior installation or marine interior construction strongly preferred

  • Strong measuring, fitting, and finishing skills

  • Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments

  • Experience working with marine-grade materials and stainless hardware

  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in craftsmanship

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in confined or awkward spaces

  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Work Environment

  • Indoor boat manufacturing facility (non-climate controlled)

  • Frequent standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting throughout the workday

  • Occasional overtime or weekend hours may be required to meet production demands
