 Position Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for achieving effective cross-functional coordination of teams, resources, and activities to support new program development and product launch objectives. This role ensures alignment with customer requirements and product specifications while maintaining a consistent design and development focus. The Program Coordinator supports engineering, production, quality, sales, and customer service teams to ensure successful program execution from launch through production.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

Program & Resource Management

· Coordinate, facilitate, monitor, and direct cross-functional product development teams including Engineering, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Tooling, and Purchasing.

· Ensure efficient use of team resources to support program objectives.

· Develop and gain alignment on program objectives and deliverables.

· Manage technical activities and specifications to optimize cost, quality, and timing.

· Maintain and manage program activities per Hudson/organizational Program Management Checklists.

· Track program objectives through checklists and open issue lists.

Program Launch & Customer Support

· Ensure successful program launches by aligning internal teams with customer requirements and schedules.

· Support strong customer relationships through proactive communication and technical assistance.

· Initiate countermeasures and corrective actions for engineering or programming issues.

· Provide prints, technical data, and engineering support to shop floor and customers in a timely manner.

Order Acquisition & Sales Support

· Support identification of new program opportunities through strong customer relationships.

· Assist with advanced development efforts including product concepts, design support, costing, and marketing engineering presentations.

· Participate as a member of the Sales Team to ensure best practices and cohesive team execution.

ERP & Bill of Materials Support

· Help maintain and update Bills of Material (BOM).

· Add necessary operational notes and instructions within engineering systems.

User Manual & Work Instruction Management

· Develop and update user manuals and operational documentation.

· Add notes, instructions, document numbers, diagrams, and pictures as required for each operation.

· Update manuals based on production, quality, and engineering changes (including PCRs when required).

Document Control

· Maintain current revisions of drawings and technical documentation.

· Complete and process drawing deviation/change forms for updates.

· Ensure proper documentation of responsibilities and project accountability records.

Tooling & Audit Support

· Complete customer audit requests related to tooling.

· Provide tooling photos and required documentation.

· Research and recommend enhancements to products, processes, and systems.

· Participate in ongoing development and implementation of team concepts and policies.

· Identify workflow inefficiencies and support improvement initiatives.

COMPETENCIES

Educational Requirements Experience Requirements

BS in Engineering or related technical area required

Technical Experience: 3-5 years engineering or technical experience 1-3 years of program management experience APQP knowledge is a plus. Industry Experience: Experience in a stamping deep draw manufacturing environment preferred

Technical Competencies – specifically related to this position · Ability to manage complex technical programs. · Strong understanding of engineering principles, analytical tools, production processes, and tool building. · Working knowledge of computer systems and manufacturing software. · Understanding of integrated manufacturing systems. · Strong project management skills including planning, execution, monitoring, and multi-project coordination.
