About this position

Operations Dispatcher will perform regular administrative duties including data entry, interaction with our drivers for checking them in/out, routing maintenance on our TRUX system, processing work orders, and various other administrative duties as assigned by the manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Organized, multitasking individual working in a fast-paced environment
  • Data input from daily routes within a time sensitive period
  • Driver check-in/out, focusing at the end of the day until the last truck is in the yard
  • Print, sort and file route sheets for next working day
  • Creating and printing work orders for various routes
  • Dispatching missed stops to various route drivers
  • Interacting with Customer Service, Supervisors, Maintenance, Drivers, and Helpers on a day-to-day basis
  • Various other administrative duties that pertains to daily operations as assigned by the Manager

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and workloads
  • Ability to work successfully with minimal supervision
  • Ability to conduct work with strong personal and professional ethics and integrity
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Competence in using the Internet
  • Preferred knowledge of TRUX Enterprise System
     

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Bi-Lingual in Spanish (Preferred)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This work is typically performed indoors in an office setting. The employee is often exposed to routine office noise and periodically, the employee may have to enter the garage and/or our facility yard.  When necessary, the employee will be exposed to loud noise and various weather conditions. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required to be properly worn when and where required and all PPE will be provided to the employee.  The employee may work up to a 10 hour shift regularly Monday through Friday and there may be some weekend work required.
