SECURITY GUARD
Del Mar, CA Boardwalk Investments Group, LLC ("Boardwalk") is a privately held commercial real estate investment company. Headquartered in Newport Beach, California. The Firm currently manages a commercial real estate portfolio comprised of retail, mixed-use, office and multifamily assets located primarily in Orange County, California and is led by a seasoned management team with over 50 years of commercial real estate experience. Since 2012, Boardwalk's investment strategy is to actively acquire, stabilize, and manage commercial real estate located in core, coastal markets in California. We are seeking a reliable and professional Full-Time Licensed Security Guard to support the daily security operations of a commercial property in Del Mar, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for tenants, guests, and vendors through consistent patrols, monitoring, and enforcement of property policies and procedures. Qualified candidates must possess a valid California Guard Card. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPatrol the commercial property on foot and/or by vehicle to identify safety hazards, security risks, and unauthorized activityMonitor the property grounds, common areas, and access points to ensure the premises remain secure at all timesEnforce parking and towing guidelines in accordance with property policiesInitiate preliminary investigations into incidents and document findings through accurate and timely incident reportsMonitor and address issues involving solicitors, trespassing, loitering, or unauthorized individuals while maintaining professionalism and discretionProvide access control, guest assistance, and general customer service support as neededRespond promptly and appropriately to emergency situations, including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life or propertyDe-escalate hostile or disruptive individuals and situations using approved techniquesPromote safe work practices for tenants, vendors, and visitorsAssist in maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the property by reporting issues and addressing minor concerns as appropriateFollow established post orders, emergency procedures, and reporting requirements REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSValid California Security Guard Card (required)Previous security experience, preferably in a commercial or retail environmentClean DMV record and reliable transportationStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to remain calm, professional, and decisive in high-pressure situations SCHEDULEStandard Schedule: Monday – ThursdayShifts: 2pm – 10pm PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSAbility to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift)Ability to patrol all areas of the property, including stairs and outdoor spacesAbility to lift and carry up to 25–30 poundsAbility to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach during patrols or incident responseAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including coastal conditions Boardwalk offers an attractive compensation and benefits package and the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team.
