Job Title: Real Estate Finance Paralegal
Talantage is seeking a full-time Real Estate Finance Paralegal to join our client's highly regarded Real Estate Practice Group in New York. This is an outstanding opportunity to work with a premier team representing major institutional lenders, private equity sponsors, investment banks, and sophisticated developers in some of the market's most complex, large-scale debt and equity transactions.
Reporting to the Practice Group Leader and collaborating closely with partners and associates, the successful candidate will play an integral role in multijurisdictional real estate financings, including construction loans, mezzanine facilities, syndicated, CMBS and balance-sheet mortgage loans, preferred equity investments, joint venture recapitalizations, ground lease financings, and distressed asset workouts.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of transactional due diligence, with emphasis on title and survey review and analysis
- Draft, review, and assist with a variety of real estate finance documents under attorney supervision
- Coordinate and facilitate complex closings, including preparation of checklists and post-closing deliverables
- Conduct legal and factual research on New York-specific real estate finance issues
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients and third parties throughout the transaction lifecycle
- Minimum of five years' real estate finance paralegal experience within a major law firm, financial institution, or in-house legal department
- Experience handling large, sophisticated transactions strongly preferred
- Advanced expertise in title and survey review and analysis
- Comprehensive knowledge of New York real property statutes, recording practices, and UCC Article 9
- Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree with a Paralegal certificate required
- Proficiency with industry-standard tools, including iManage, iManage Closing Folders, Excel, SharePoint, ACRIS e-Recording, New York State e-File, and online due diligence portals
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Solid understanding of real estate capital markets
