Receptionist
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for interacting in a courteous and friendly manner with guests, residents, and team members. Performs clerical duties and answers questions/calls.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Greets family members, guests, vendors, and support personnel and provides front-desk support.
- Assists residents with scheduling:
- transportation services
- dining services
- submitting work order requests
- making reservations for various community events
- Answer calls on a multi-line phone system.
- Provides clerical support for administration.
- Monitors emergency response system and fire alarm panel during daytime hours.
- Must be able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Educational Requirements and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 months of experience in a customer service role; Senior Community preferred.
- Experience with a multi-line phone system and has demonstrated computer literacy.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Language Ability:
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speaking the primary language of the residents.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Cognitive Demands:
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Computer Skills:
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows and Office Suite applications. Ability to use software to design calendars and signs. Ability to use the Internet.

- Excellent telephone communication skills.
- Ability to operate general office equipment.
