Job Title: Food Pantry Coordinator

Reports To: Food Pantry Manager

Location: ICGC Premises
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 25 hours/week
Compensation: $18–$19.50/hour (based on experience)


General:

ICGC Social Services is seeking a Food Pantry Coordinator, for its Food Pantry services. Reporting to the Food Pantry Manager, this position will primarily coordinate food pantry appointments. This position is classified as nonexempt with respect to the Fair Labor Standards Act, i.e. a part-time hourly position with a time commitment between 20 to 25 hrs./wk. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage pantry-related appointments from scheduling to servicing clients.

  • Prepare orders, assist clients with pick up, or assist in choice pantry service whichever applies.

  • Ensure inventory on hand is sufficient for the week.

  • Complete all database entries and ensure confidentiality, eligibility, proper documentation & reporting. 

  • Assist with campaigns and drives throughout the year as needed.  

  • Assist with the Annual Food Pantry Audit conducted by Shared Harvest as necessary.

  • Assist new refugee families with Bill’s Assistance for the initial period post-handover from Catholic Charities.


General Responsibilities:

  • Research, identify, and develop resources per client & community needs. 

  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and/or external partners  to achieve project/client goals     

  • Participate in staff meetings and maintain positive team relationships 

  • Participate in events to maximize marketing, networking & outreach efforts as needed. 

  • Adhere to professional standards as outlined by ICGC protocols, rules & regulations

  • Document client info in relevant databases and handle sensitive information in a confidential manner

  • Perform a range of associated administrative functions, as needed.


Qualification: 

  • High School or Associate's Degree 

  • Bilingual Preferred (English & Arabic | Fulani | French, etc..)

  • Experience in a non-profit or social services environment preferred 

  • Experience in working with Muslim immigrant clients is a plus  


Skills:

Customer service, problem-solving, organization, attention to detail, goal-focused, team player, clear spoken and written communication, active listening & social grace.


Work Environment:

  • Primarily in-office during weekday hours, with occasional local travel to partner organizations
