Description:
This position will report to the Shift Supervisor and will be responsible for but not limited to:
Responsibilities:
- Work a 12-hour, 2-2-3 shift schedule 6PM - 6AM
- Perform quality checks on all running presses and check operators’ work.
- Complete the Coordinator sheet daily and report all discrepancies to supervisor immediately.
- Ensure each running press has the correct date dials.
- Perform inspections and material checks three times during shift on all running presses.
- Inspect for initials on Verification labels for all Members mark production.
- Ensure each running press has a sample part for comparison.
- Ensure OPS Books are present and white boards are neat and correct
- Stock correct labels for each running press and leave supplies for the next crew
- Ensure work areas are safe and not congested
- Ensure all operators have correct paperwork, supplies, and tools needed to perform job
- Assist operators with Daily Production Report regarding press downtime, scrap issues and monitor completion!
- DAY-Shift perform sawhorse testing (drop test, weight test, hinge durability)
- Serve as trainer for new hires as needed
- Communicate and coordinate with supervisor and lead regularly throughout the day
Expectations:
- Report all hazards and / or incidents to supervisors
- Verify correct material for each running press
- Perform quality checks and maintain quality standards
- Positive attitude, good communication and people skills
- Great attendance and punctuality are a must
- Pass-off with incoming Coordinator about quality issues and concerns from your shift
Requirements:
- Standing long periods, bending, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 40 lbs. individually and 80 lbs. with a team lift.
- Maintain product specifications during production and packing according to customer requests.
- Meet daily production requirements.
- Monitor and advise if there is not an adequate inventory of materials (finished parts, WIP, and raw materials).
- Adhere to all safety rules and protocols.
