Position Summary

We are seeking a Women’s Health Physician Assistant to join our dedicated outpatient Women’s Health team. This role provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in an ambulatory setting and works collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to deliver patient centered, evidence based care.

This position plays a key role in supporting TFHC’s Women’s Health services, contributing to clinical operations, provider education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive women’s health care including well woman exams, acute visits, family planning, and gynecologic services

  • Deliver evidence based outpatient obstetrical care

  • Perform in office gynecologic procedures including colposcopy, biopsies, and long acting reversible contraception device insertion

  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record documentation

  • Prepare billing charges and complete clinical tasks in accordance with organizational policy

  • Make appropriate referrals for diagnostic testing, specialty care, treatment, and follow up

  • Provide clinical oversight and support to nursing staff and medical assistants

  • Participate in peer review, accreditation readiness, and quality improvement initiatives

  • Supervise and teach residents, medical students, and allied health professionals as applicable

  • Coordinate clinical workflows within the Women’s Health department and collaborate with providers across the organization

  • Participate in after hours coverage as assigned

  • Communicate with patients and staff in a courteous and professional manner

  • Exercise sound clinical judgment and adhere to established clinical protocols

Qualifications

  • Master of Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited Physician Assistant program

  • Active and unrestricted Florida Physician Assistant license

  • Current BLS certification

  • Minimum of two to three years of relevant outpatient OB or GYN clinical experience

  • Bilingual skills preferred

  • Proficiency with electronic health record systems and Microsoft Office

Loan Repayment & Financial Support – NHSC

Tampa Family Health Centers is an NHSC approved site, making this position eligible for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program.

Qualifying Women’s Health Physician Assistants may receive:

  • Up to $75,000 in federal student loan repayment for an initial two year full time service commitment

  • Additional loan repayment opportunities for extended service commitments, based on NHSC guidelines and continued eligibility

NHSC loan repayment is in addition to base salary, productivity incentives, and TFHC benefits, making this role a strong long term financial opportunity for providers committed to serving an underserved population.
