A Bellman greets hotel guests, assists with luggage (carrying, storing, delivering), escorts them to rooms, explains room features, arranges transportation, provides local info, and maintains lobby cleanliness, serving as a crucial first and last contact to ensure a positive guest experience. They handle tasks like delivering messages, responding to requests, and ensuring smooth check-ins/outs. 


Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Greeting & Assistance: Warmly welcome guests, assist with door service, and help with check-in/out.
  • Luggage Handling: Load, unload, transport, and store guest luggage efficiently.
  • Room Orientation: Escort guests to rooms, explain room features (A/C, TV, phone, minibar), and report maintenance issues.
  • Information & Recommendations: Provide directions, hotel details, and local attraction information.
  • Transportation: Arrange taxis, shuttles, or other transportation for guests.
  • Lobby Maintenance: Keep the lobby, entrance, and bell carts clean, tidy, and organized.
  • Message & Delivery Service: Deliver mail, packages, flowers, and other items to guest rooms. 
  • Shuttle Service: The hotel will have a shuttle that travels within 3 miles of the hotel.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items.
  • Positive attitude and professional appearance.
  • Knowledge of hotel services and local area.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts. 
  • Must have valid drivers license.
